I am available for Face Painting for Children’s parties and other events. Please contact me for prices. All I require at your party is: A small table and two chairs. A supply of running water (for rinsing brushes etc.). Please note: Adults must be present and children will remain the responsibility of the parent, guardian, event host or organiser. All of the face paints I use are safe, non-toxic, hypo-allergenic, EEC and FDA approved. Although it is very rare, some people experience allergic reactions and so smaller children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian (or have consent from either) to ensure that face painting is suitable for them. I use mainly Snazaroo products amongst others. These products contain anti-bacterial agents and are gentle enough to use on younger skin. All products used by us comply to EEC and US safety regulations for cosmetics. The paints are water-based and will wash off with soap and water. I follow a strict hygiene routine for this reason I won’t paint children who look as though they may have an illness or skin condition which may be contagious and I do not paint over cuts or grazes. I may refuse to paint a child who appears to have eczema. Although this skin condition is not contagious, washing off the paint with soap and water at the end of the day will aggravate it. A fresh sponge per child is used brushes are rinsed after each face. Water is also regularly changed. It is the responsibility of the guardian or parent of the child to advise us of the child's suitability to face painting. If a child has sensitive skin or is allergy-prone, it is advisable not to paint their face. In this case, a small design painted on their arm might be more appropriate. I am covered by Public Liability Insurance but won't be liable for any allergic reactions to face paint. A child must be able to sit still, if a child is visibly uncomfortable or unhappy with having their face painted, I will immediately stop painting them. Although face painting is great fun for almost any age, I don't recommend face-painting for any child under the age of 2 as they don’t always understand what is happening and are usually unable to sit still. |
